CONTACT REAMS LAW TO DISCUSS XARELTO LAWSUIT – INTERNAL BLEEDING (800) 593-1974

If you have been prescribed Xarelto and experienced internal bleeding or other medical complications, contact an attorney to know your rights and learn more about potential lawsuit. Lawsuits have been filed alleging that the makers of Xarelto failed to warn patients and doctors about potential dangers of internal bleeding from use of the drug.

Claims have been filed against the makers of Xarelto, Janssen Pharmaceutical and Bayer Healthcare, after users of the drug experienced internal bleeding allegedly caused by the anticoagulant (blood clot) medication. Those filing lawsuits have alleged that they, and their physicians, would have refused to take the drug, and used something else, to allow the risk of internal bleeding to be remedied by other treatments such as Vitamin K.

The primary purpose of the Xarelto is to reduce blood clots. Xarelto is normally prescribed as a blood thinner to people diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, a very common irregular heartbeat condition, pulmonary embolisms involving lung blood clots, deep vein thrombosis, patients undergoing hip or knee replacement surgery, and stroke. Xarelto has been marketed in 1954 as an alternative to Coumadin, also known as warfarin.

The risks and side effects of Xarelto include fatal internal bleeding which cannot be reversed or cured. When other drugs, such as Coumadin, are overdosed, internal bleeding has treated with Vitamin K, however, patients experiencing internal bleeding from Xarelto must reportedly wait until the drug passes from their system. Under such circumstances, patients experiencing internal bleeding from Xarelto can potentially die, bleeding to death from an otherwise common internal hemorrhage. Xarelto may also cause a decrease in hemoglobin, infections during surgery, dyspnea, hematoma, and edema.

If you or a loved one has experienced an injury, internal bleeding, or complication during medical treatment involving the use of Xarelto, contact Reams Law to discuss your potential claim. (800) 593-1974 | contactus@reams.law www.reams.law
