January 3rd, 2017 by adminCONTACT REAMS LAW ABOUT YOUR PRADAXA LAWSUIT – (800) 593-1974 – Lawsuits are being filed against the makers of Pradaxa by patients suffering from severe internal and cerebral bleeding. If you have taken Pradaxa and suffered hemorrhaging or gastrointestinal bleeds, contact Reams Law.
Pradaxa is a blood-thinning drug often prescribed to reduce the risk of blood clots and stroke, especially in those who experiencing atrial fibrillation. Contact Reams Law if you or a loved one has taken Pradxa and experienced any of the following:
• Gastrointestinal bleeding
• Blood in the urine or stool
• Brain cerebral bleeding after a fall at home
• Blood in urine or stool
• Vomiting blood
• Excessive bruising
Lawsuits have been filed alleging that Pradaxa, manufactured by Boehringer Ingelheim, caused excessive internal bleeding in those suffering from atrial fibrillation. Victims of Pradaxa have alleged that the drug failed to adequately warn of the excessive risk of bleeding to death, even after hospitalization, and failure of the manufacturer to provide proper instructions to physicians on how to treat those suffering from excessive internal bleeding. Other lawsuits have alleged that some have died from excessive internal brain bleeding after a common fall at home because physicians did not know how to stop the internal bleeding, especially when they didn’t know that the victim had been taken Pradaxa. Lawsuits that have been filed have maintained that the drug is more dangerous than patients and doctors would expect because there is no known antidote to stop excessive bleeding once it starts, unreasonably increasing the risk that victims can bleed to death from an otherwise common bleed, even when they are under the care of physicians.
